Moonlighting during the break

Formula One may be on its mandated summer break, but that doesn’t keep its drivers from getting behind a wheel.

Two of the sport’s drivers were in action this weekend, with differing results.

Kimi Raikkonen's WRC debut came to an abrupt end in stage 19 of the Rally Finland when the Ferrari driver rolled his Abarth Grande Punto.

Raikkonen and co-driver Kaj Lindstrom were unhurt, but the damage was enough to keep them from continuing.

The Finn had impressed up to that point, and continues to weigh rallying as a future career choice.

Spectator Sebastian Vettel was also in attendance.

Meanwhile, Toro Rosso rookie Jaime Alguersuari, fresh off his F1 debut, was back in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series this weekend, taking his first win at Portimao.

Massa heads home Monday, will give first interview

Felipe Massa, fresh off a visit from Michael Schumacher, will leave the hospital and return home to Brazil Monday.

Ferrari.com reports Massa gave an exclusive first interview to the site, which will be released Monday, as well, clarifying quotes attributed to Massa in the media today were actually made by his brother Edoardo.
