Troubles for Campos Meta?

Bernie Ecclestone has been adamant he does not believe all the new teams will make the grid in 2010, and it appears not all of his intelligence is off base.

Grandprix.com reports Campos Meta may be looking for a serious influx of cash as the team have not been able to secure sponsorship, despite the signing of Bruno Senna, and are facing mounting bills to Dallara ahead of winter testing.

Adrian Campos’s squad and Sporting Director Daniele Audetto are reportedly trying to strike a deal with a pay driver -- Venezuelan Pastor Maldonado and Russian Vitaly Petrov have been mentioned -- but have yet to succeed.

Enter “A1” Tony Teixeira, one-time head of the old A1GP championship, who looks to be in the market for the team. Teixeira failed in previous bids for Spyker, Honda and Toro Rosso, but remains interested in F1. Campos has also contacted other potential investors, but to no avail.

Interestingly, grandprix.com goes on to report Stefan Grand Prix continue to work toward 2010, though not official entrants. The team have struck a deal with Toyota with Ecclestone’s help, basically giving them the TF110 chassis, engines and gearboxes and Kazuki Nakajima.

Meanwhile, the other team oft mentioned as questionable for 2010 by Ecclestone, US F1, crash tested the nose section last week and posted video on its Web site.
