Alonso wins in Bahrain

Fernando Alonso won his debut for Ferrari in Bahrain.

F1 Grand Prix of Bahrain - Race

Sebastian Vettel looked to be in control until a cracked exhaust header allowed the Ferraris of Alonso and Massa to catch him, delivering a 1-2 for the Scuderia.

Lewis Hamilton was third for McLaren, while a disappointed Vettel held on for fourth. Michael Schumacher was sixth in his return.

It was a tough race for the newbies, with only the two Lotus cars seeing the flag, both well back from the leaders.

Now it's off to Melbourne in two weeks time.
