McLaren admitted it wrongly told Lewis Hamilton teammate Jenson Button would not press his position in Istanbul, just moments after the Red Bull boys threw away a 1-2 finish.

According to team principal Martin Whitmarsh, Chief engineer Phil Prew told Hamilton Button would not overtake, "but that opinion was clearly wrong."

Webber, Red Bull extend contract

Mark Webber has signed a one-year extension to remain at Red Bull. Sebastian Vettel is already in the fold for 2011.

Meanwhile, rumors continue to swirl as to just what happened between Webber and Vettel in Turkey.

The team's press office claims no instructions were given to change positions, yet reports in the press state Christian Horner told Webber engineer Ciaron Pilbeam to allow Vettel through, but Pilbeam couldn't bring himself to do it.

Force India goes to court
