Europe: Qualifying

Red Bull re-established itself at the top of the grid as Sebastian Vettel edged teammate Mark Webber for a 1-2 ahead of McLaren's Lewis Hamilton.

Meanwhile, Ferrari looks to have things back on track with Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa staring fourth and fifth ahead of another strong drive from Renault's Robert Kubica in sixth, and Williams was a surprise participant in Q3, as well.

Mercedes, who were thought to be on track to do well at Valencia, had a miserable day. It might be the only thing that will mask an equally miserable day for Michael Schumacher, who will start a season-worst 15th.
