Heavy rain forced the postponement of Saturday's qualifying session at Suzuka.

After a drenching final practice session (only two drivers even set a time), qualification was repeatedly delayed as conditions worsened before the stewards made the late afternoon decision.

Qualifying will now be held at 10am local time Sunday, prior to the race.

In other news, Lewis Hamilton faces a five-spot penalty for a gearbox change, giving his increasingly slim title hopes another blow.
