Brazil: Qualifying

Changing conditions at Interlagos led to excitement for qualifying, and when the slicks came out in Q3 Nico Hulkenberg sprung the biggest surprise of all to take the first pole for Williams since 2005, a result that the rookie will be hoping gives a boost to his chances of keeping his seat in 2011.

For your title challengers, Sebastian Vettel edged best bud Mark Webber as the Red Bulls start second and third. Lewis Hamilton's McLaren starts fourth and Fernando Alonso is in fifth in the Ferrari.

The odds grew longer for reigning champion Jenson Button, however, who was on the outside looking in after being eliminated in Q2.
